It's probably going to be a little annoying having a father who is a photographer. My wife was pretty laid back about it for the first 10 years or so. She bought me my first manual film camera after we first got together so she had to put up with it for a time I guess :)
I'd regret buying you that camera if you weren't so darn good at the photography things. :)
